awareness of the general workforce.
The following programs are used to raise awareness of perceptive
change:
Raising awareness of team-leaders, supervisors and managers
A two-day training course and workshop called, "Changing perception
in your workplace" is delivered to all team-leaders, supervisors
and managers. The program contains the following:
- Risk perception in the workplace - an introduction
- Why humans have accidents
- Safety culture and perception in your organisation - a summary
of the results of the cultural and perception surveys
- Leadership and motivation - how to lead for change and how
to motivate during the change process
- Personality - how a personality is formed and how personality
impacts upon safety
- Values, beliefs and attitude
- The HSE document, HSG 48 - human behaviour
- Personal risk assessment and observation techniques
- Communicating health and safety - the art of positive reinforcement
During each of the above sessions delegates on the

in the way they lead for safety.
